Get ready for the Grade 6 exam

The first national exam most students ever sit. Practice every subject with questions built from the curriculum, take timed papers, and see exactly where you stand. It is free, on the phone your family already has.

What the Grade 6 exam is

At the end of Grade 6, Ethiopian students sit the primary school leaving examination that closes the first cycle of school. It covers the core subjects of the primary curriculum, and doing well builds both the foundation and the confidence for everything that follows.

Because it is the first big exam most students ever sit, the format itself is half the challenge: reading questions carefully, managing time, and filling answers correctly. Practicing in the real format beforehand removes that surprise.

Practice every subject

Questions follow the national curriculum for the primary cycle, organized by subject and chapter.

  • English
  • Mathematics
  • General Science
  • Social Studies
  • Amharic and mother-tongue subjects
  • Citizenship education

How practicing on Temari works

  1. 1

    Learn chapter by chapter

Pick a subject and practice one chapter at a time. Every question comes back with the right answer and an explanation, so a mistake still teaches.

  2. 2

    Then sit a timed paper

Full mock papers run under exam conditions with a clock and score instantly, so exam day feels familiar instead of frightening.

  3. 3

    Made for young students

Short sessions, clear language and progress a parent can follow. It works on a simple smartphone over a weak connection.

Common questions

Is Grade 6 exam practice on Temari free?

Yes. Practice questions, timed mock papers and instant scoring are free with an account. An optional AI tutor upgrade costs 199 ETB per month.

Does my child's school need to use Temari?

No. Anyone can create a free account with a phone number and start practicing, whatever school they attend.

What subjects can my child practice?

The core primary-cycle subjects: English, Mathematics, General Science, Social Studies and more, organized by chapter so practice follows the classroom.

Can it work on a basic phone with slow internet?

It is built for exactly that: light pages that open on a weak connection, short practice sessions, and an app you can install that keeps working when the connection drops.
