Question 1
In Ethitiopian context, which impact of rapid population growth is critical, compared to others?
- A.Occurrence of water pollution
- B.Shortage of pasture land
- C.High rate of deforestation
- D.Massive air pollution
Show the answer and explanation
Answer: C High rate of deforestation
Why
Most Ethiopians live in rural areas and depend on farmland, grazing land and firewood.
When the population grows fast, forests are cleared for new fields, for fuel wood and for building material, so deforestation spreads over the whole country.
Massive air pollution is not the strongest answer because it is felt only around a few large towns and factories, not nationwide.
