Ask your school anything

The rule that makes Temari AI usable in a school is architectural: the model is not allowed to state a figure it did not just query. Every number in an answer, whether collections, enrollment or a child's average, comes from a tool call against the school's live records, executed under the asker's own permissions. If the tool returns nothing, the assistant says so; it does not fill the silence with a plausible invention.

The permission check happens inside every tool, per query, not once at login. A director's assistant can total fee collections; a teacher's cannot, because the teacher cannot. A parent's assistant answering "how is Sara doing?" runs the same guardian-link checks as the family portal, including per-guardian flags like who may see grades. There is no prompt that talks around the boundary, because the boundary is under the language layer, not inside it.

Conversations are strictly private to the person who had them: no supervisor can read a teacher's chats, and no platform staff read a school's. You only think out loud with a tool you know nobody else is reading.

There is no assistant picker, because the workspace decides. A teacher's assistant drafts quiz questions from the curriculum, assembles full exam papers into the studio as drafts, writes report-card comment suggestions, and answers questions about their own classes. A director's assistant reads the school: enrollment movements, collections by branch, attendance patterns, staffing: the Monday-morning questions, answered at 7am.

Registrars and finance officers get their lanes: find a student across spellings, check a family's balance, list unverified payments. Parents ask about their own children in plain words, like "does Bruk owe anything?", and students get a study tutor that explains concepts as many times, and as many ways, as it takes.

The assistant can also act, with the same chat-parity rule everywhere: whatever a role can do in the app, it can start in chat, whether that is drafting an exam or preparing a message to a family, and every consequential step (publish, send) waits for the human's explicit confirmation in the conversation.

Ask the assistant in the language you think in and the answer comes back in that same language, including subject-matter explanations for students. For a parent who has never used a dashboard in their life, asking a question the way they speak and being answered the same way is the difference between the school's data being theirs or being the office's.

Access is priced along the platform's existing lines. Staff AI comes with the school's optional School Plan subscription. Families get a free daily allowance, enough for the evening's homework questions, and a paid monthly upgrade for students who want unlimited exam-prep tutoring. AI announcements ride the free in-app feed, never spending SMS money.

Integrity is enforced server-side where it counts: a student with a live exam attempt gets a refusal before the model is even called, and prompts containing a live exam's questions are refused and flagged to the teacher, including from a sibling's account. Practice help is the product; during an exam there is none.
