Health professionals sit the licensing exam from 19 to 21 August

Graduates who finished a first degree at a higher education institution and completed their registration for the Ethiopian Health Professionals Licensing Examination will sit it from Nehase 13 to 15, 2018 E.C., which is 19 to 21 August 2026. The Ministry of Health published the schedule on 12 August, one field group per day, with an orientation session at every centre the afternoon before. Candidates need their National ID and the printed entry slip carrying the QR code the system issued, and the centre list was published as a file alongside the announcement.

The afternoon before

Every candidate is expected at their centre on Nehase 12, 2018 E.C. (18 August 2026) at 2:00 in the afternoon, whichever day they are sitting. The session covers how the exam is administered, gives candidates a set of practice questions to work through, and shows each person the room they will be in. Going the afternoon before also shows you how long the journey really takes, which is worth knowing before the morning of the exam.

What you carry into the room

Take these to the centre

  • Your National ID.
  • The exam entry slip, printed, with the QR code the system issued on it.

What has to stay outside

  • Any electronic device, including a phone and a wristwatch.
  • Eyeglasses, unless you have a confirmed vision problem.
  • Bags and other belongings.
  • Reference material of any kind, and blank paper.
  • Food or drink, unless you have a confirmed health condition.

There are two sessions, morning and afternoon. Before leaving the room at the end of each one, candidates have to sign the attendance sheet properly. Signing takes a moment, and an unsigned sheet is difficult to correct once everyone has left.

Your centre is fixed

The Ministry published the full list of candidates and their centres as a file attached to the announcement, All Examinee Nehase 2018.zip. Open it and find your own name before you travel. A video walking through how the exam runs was posted alongside it.

The announcement was published on the Ministry of Health channel in two parts, the schedule and the exam-day rules, and both are worth reading in full before you set off.
