What to bring, and what to leave at home
The universities have named three documents. Take all three:
- Your 2018 E.C. Grade 12 national university entrance exam result.
- Your admission card.
- A copy of your registration confirmation.
Getting to the Addis Ababa campus
The Addis Ababa campus sits in Koye Feche, in Akaki Kality sub-city, and the university has since published four ways of reaching it. They cover that campus only. If your centre is Adama, these routes do not apply to your journey.

Passing this test takes you out of the Ministry's placement
The notice says it plainly: applicants who pass the entrance test are not included in the university placement carried out through the Ministry of Education. Sitting the test is not what removes you. Passing it is.
That matters this week because of the dates. The Ministry's choice of university and field closes at 23:59 on 10 September 2026, the day after this test. The notice does not say when the entrance test results will be published, so do not assume you will know your result before that choice shuts.
