Why the date moved
The Grade 8 examination is set and marked by each regional education bureau rather than by the federal assessment service, so results do not all arrive on the same day. Regions that published late left their students holding an application they could not complete, and the ministry said those students are the reason for the extension.

What the form asks for
- For Grade 9 entry: Grade 6 and Grade 8 subject scores, and the report cards they come from.
- For Grade 10 entry: the Grade 8 regional examination average, Grade 9 subject scores, and the Grade 8 and Grade 9 report cards.
