How the answers are coming back
Candidates who raised a complaint by telephone or by text message have been answered by telephone or text message, and the service says those replies are still going out.
Candidates who filed online are answered online. The statement puts it as reading the reply on the eaes.et website the way you saw your result, which in practice means the results portal at result.eaes.et: sign in from the home page with your admission number and your first name, open your own results page, and use the My Complaints button. How to file a Grade 12 result complaint walks through the same screens, and it is worth reading if you have not filed yet, because filing closes at 4:00 PM on Monday 1 September 2026.
Some complaints have not been decided yet. The service said a number of them are still in process and asked those candidates to wait rather than file again.
The cut-off mark going round is not real
The service did not say which figure the card claimed. What is still outstanding is the remedial cut-off: the Minister said on 22 August 2026 that remedial places would be fewer this year because more candidates passed, and that the mark deciding them would be announced later. That is set out in when the Grade 12 result arrives. Until the Ministry announces it, any figure offered as the remedial cut-off is invented.

How will I know my complaint has been answered?
The answer returns by the route you used. If you filed by phone or text you get a phone call or a text. If you filed online, open your results page at result.eaes.et and check the My Complaints button.
My complaint has had no reply yet. Should I file it again?
No. The service said a number of complaints are still in process and asked candidates to wait. A second complaint does not move you up the queue.
Has the Grade 12 cut-off mark been announced?
No. The assessment service says the cut-off going round on social media is fake and that it will publish the correct information after checking. The remedial cut-off was still unannounced when the Minister spoke on 22 August 2026.
