The Grade 12 result is live, and a complaint no longer means a journey

   The portal at result.eaes.et

   Enter your admission number, which is the registration number printed on your card, then your first name, then press Check Result. Expect it to be slow while half a million people are doing the same thing.

   Follow the prompts it gives you and send the admission number on its own. The service asks you to send it once and wait for the reply rather than sending it again.

   Put the admission number in the message and nothing else. It needs no data bundle, which is why it usually answers when the portal will not load.

The service published a helper page for each of the last two, at result.eaes.et/telegram and result.eaes.et/sms.

A candidate who disagrees with a score files at result.eaes.et/complaint and stays where they are. The window runs from 25 August to 1 September 2026 and closes at 4:00 PM on the last day, and the answer comes back through the same link. That address opens a page of instructions rather than the form itself: the form sits inside your own results page, under Submit Complaint in the Action Buttons section. That closes something that had been left open. At the briefing on 22 August the Minister said complaints would get five or six days and named no closing date, which is how when the Grade 12 result arrives had to write it. Read your subject breakdown before you file, because a complaint has to name the paper you are questioning.

The portal asks for two things and nothing else: the admission number and the first name. Together they are the whole key to a result, and anyone holding them can read yours. Channels helping candidates who cannot get through are collecting exactly that pair in their comment sections, in public, where it stays. If the site will not load, send the number to 6284 and wait for the reply.

The national figures were announced on 22 August. 70,544 of the 550,210 candidates who sat reached half, which is 12.8 percent, and they are in 70,544 students passed the 2018 E.C. Grade 12 national exam. The remedial cut-off mark and university placement have both still to be announced.
